Troy NY newsflash: TROY, NY (WRGB) — On Monday the City of Troy, along with the U.S. Department of Agriculture will begin evicting around 10,000 crows from within the city. Starting at around 3:30 PM dispersal efforts will be implemented, intended to break up roosts of crows that have migrated to the area in the colder months. They plan on using pyrotechnics, spotlights, non-harmful lasers, and amplified, recorded crow distress calls.
In an effort to create more public awareness on this topic, Hudson Mohawk Magazine producer Elizabeth Press (EP) reached out for a podcast interview about the growing The Crow Patrol, community science projects with crows, the impact of crow roosts on cities, and what can be done (or not done) about them!
